Prospekt Mira takes its name from a Russian idiomatic expression (Проспект Мира). It is a common name for streets and metro stations throughout the former Soviet Union.

The most faithful translation into English would arguably be ‘avenue of peace’, although a case could also be made for a more literal translation: ‘world prospect’.

The marriage of these two sentiments informs the core of our mission: utilising local technical & scientific expertise to address global problems.
